Do I have the new or old Windows Recorder?
If you are a long time ilos user and haven't noticed any big changes, you likely have the old recorder, whereas new users will likely have received the new version when first installing (however, this is a rolling release; see Getting the new Windows Recorder, below).
The two recorders also look different in color and general UI design, which is the easiest way to tell:
Getting the new Windows Recorder.
Our initial release is a rolling release, meaning that not every organization with an ilos account will get the new recorder right away, by default. To see if your organization has it right away, log in to ilos, and go to our Install Page and run the .exe once it finishes downloading.
If you get the old one, not to worry! You can still try the new one. Just download it, here.
Once you download it, it will prompt you to go back to your browser and click Record. This is expected functionality. Head back to https://app.ilosvideos.com and hit the Record button. This will now launch the new recorder! (See the video below to see a first launch in action)
Deleting the old Recorder
Once you have the new Recorder downloaded, you will still have the old one installed. To easily uninstall it, search your computer for Uninstall ilos Screen Recorder, and run that program:
